Mumbai recorded 69 deaths and 1,395 cases on Sunday. With this, the number of Covid-19 positive patients has risen to 58,226 now in the maximum city. The city death toll has climbed up to 2,182 now. The state recorded 3,390 new patients on Sunday, taking its total to 107,958, with a recovery rate of 47.02 per cent. For almost all days in June, the state has been recording three-digit fatalities - 103 deaths on June 2, 122 on June 3, 123 on June 4, 139 on June 5, 120 on June 6, 109 on June 8, 120 on June 9, 149 on June 10, 152 on June 11, 127 on June 12, 113 on June 13 and 120 on Sunday.The recovery rate now stands at 47.02 per cent and the mortality rate is 3.65 per cent. A total of 1,632 fully cured patients returned home on Sunday, taking the number of those discharged from 49,346 to 50,978 now.Also, Western Railway and Central Railway have decided to resume select suburban services from today for essential staff only. These special suburban services will not be for the general public but strictly for essential staff as identified by the government of Maharashtra.
